Knauf Wallboard Tapered Edge - The Benefits

There are a few key reasons why tapered edge plasterboard is generally considered to be a better option than square edge plasterboard:

  • Much easier to create smooth, professional-looking finishes when jointing and skimming
  • Makes it easier to achieve a seamless finish between sheets
  • Generally much easier to work with overall, meaning that you are less likely to make mistakes when installing it
  • When the boards are butted up together there is a slight depression where they meet that you can fill with plasterboard joint filler to conceal the joint

Please note: joint treatment should be allowed to dry before commencing with any decorator's preparatory work or direct decorations.
